Our objective was to review and report information about USDA’s use of social media for transparency and disclosure.

We reviewed the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Wildlife Services’ investigations of livestock deaths by Mexican gray wolves.

OIG assessed whether USDA agencies and staff offices had adequate processes in place to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities on their USDA-developed mobile applications.

We determined whether Farm Service Agency (FSA) provided timely and accurate Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) direct payments to eligible recipients.

We conducted this work as part of an ongoing inspection with the objective of conducting integrated oversight of the funding provided to Forest Service’s IIJA Legacy Road and Trail Remediation Program.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) performed an inspection of the Farm Service Agency (FSA) to determine the likely level of sophistication an attacker would need to compromise selected USDA systems or data.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) evaluated and tested USDA’s compliance with the requirements of Binding Operational Directives (BOD) 19-02 and 22-01.

In our final report, we assessed the controls Agricultural Marketing Service developed and implemented to ensure awardees fulfilled the obligations of their contracts.

Our work included reviewing and reporting information about the Bioproduct Pilot Program (BPP), from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) through a review of publicly available information, discussions with National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) officials, and a review of relevant documentation obtained from NIFA.

OIG identified the prevention measures that Forest Service established for recreation sites in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
