The Office of Inspector General performed an evaluation of an Agricultural Research Service (ARS) facility’s physical condition and security.

This report provides information about the processes that the Food and Nutrition Service uses to disburse Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits using the EBT system, as well as the related oversight activities.

OIG determined whether the Forest Service had controls for selecting, funding, tracking, and implementing infrastructure funding to mitigate environmental hazards on Federal land.

OIG reviewed whether the Forest Service converted seasonal wildland firefighters to full-time permanent Federal employees and accurately implemented salary increases for Federal wildland firefighters according to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

OIG’s objectives were to determine whether USDA is effectively managing excess equipment in its inventory and whether controls exist to provide reasonable assurance that USDA has adequate security over its excessed equipment.

OIG evaluated Rural Development’s administration and oversight of the Rural Housing Service’s Uniform Residential Loan Application Information Technology Project.

OIG reviewed the Rural Business-Cooperative Service’s internal controls over the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program grant recipients’ use of funds.

OIG reviewed the Forest Service’s funding and monitoring of selected IIJA project proposals for the Collaborative Aquatic Landscape Restoration Program.

At the request of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) , OIG reviewed Rural Development's (RD) contributions to the National Drug Control Strategy.

OIG reviewed the security controls of industrial control systems – programmable systems and devices that interact with the physical environment – at three USDA agencies.
