The American Relief Act of 2025 provided the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with approximately $39.8 billion to carry out projects and activities related to agricultural disaster assistance. It also provided USDA Office of Inspector General with $7.5 million for oversight of such projects and activities carried out with the funds made available to USDA under the Act. This document describes our plan to oversee these funds.

The USDA OIG's Office of Analytics and Innovation has developed a second version of Broadband: A Data Stroll in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce OIG and the Federal Communications Commission OIG. 

USDA OIG was asked to respond to questions regarding potential anomalies related to locality pay, including telework situations.

The OIG's Office of Analytics and Innovation (OAI) conducted a survey of Forest Service Firefighters to better understand the perceived impact of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) on firefighters, including authorized pay increases, occupational series changes, and programs relevant to firefighters.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of Inspector General’s Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2025 describes how OIG plans to accomplish its mission of promoting economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity in the delivery of USDA programs during the fiscal year.

This report presents the results of the System and Organization Controls 1 Type 2 examination conducted in accordance with relevant attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) description of its data center hosting and security systems used to process user entities’ transactions throughout the period October 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

This report presents the results of the System and Organization Controls 1 Type 2 examination conducted in accordance with relevant attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Finance Center (NFC) description of its payroll and personnel systems used to process user entities payroll and human resource transactions throughout the period October 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

This report presents the results of the System and Organization Controls 1 Type 2 examination conducted in accordance with relevant attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Financial Management Service (FMS) description of its financial systems used to process user entities financial transactions throughout the period October 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

We conducted this work as part of our ongoing inspection with the objective to conduct integrated oversight of the funding provided to Forest Service's Restoration Projects on Federal and Non-Federal Land from Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).
